Welcome to the Winfield Junior Woman’s Club

For over 40 years we have been the Winfield Junior Woman’s Club —we care about our community and its future.  We care about education, the safety of our children, our town, the parks and the people.

2016 Scholarship Info :

The Winfield Junior Woman’s Club will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship in April, WJWC-Scholarship-Application-2016.  The  scholarship  is available to a high school senior who is a Winfield resident or resides within the Winfield postal area (60190).

The deadline for applications will be March 18th, 2016.  No exceptions will be made.

We will select our scholarship recipient and the winner notified in May.  The winner is also invited to our May meeting to receive their honor.

SNACKS WITH SANTA  – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7th

The Winfield Junior Woman’s Club, www.winfieldjuniors.org,  presents Snacks with Santa on Saturday, December 7th from 1:00-4:00 PM at Winfield Central School’s cafeteria.  Admission is free.  The club is collecting donations of small toys/gifts for Ronald McDonald House.

Activities include Santa and candy canes courtesy of the West Chicago High School and the Winfield Juniors; Face Painting; Cookies/Snacks; live entertainment; and a Fabulous Basket Raffle. Snacks with Santa fundraising proceeds go toward the Winfield Junior Annual College Scholarship

Snacks with Santa will be followed with the Winfield Fire Department brining Santa to the Village Tree Lighting at 4:30PM outside Village Hall, including hot chocolate served courtesy of John’s Restaurant & Tavern.

Come join us and enjoy these long-standing Winfield traditions!

Throughout the years, the Club has supported the Winfield community and beyond with programs and monetary donations. The Winfield Junior Woman’s Club is a charitable organization. Over the past 10 years alone, the Club has donated over $110,000 to organizations ranging from the American Cancer Society to the YWCA. In the local community, the Club has made donations to the Winfield Garden Club, Winfield Historical Society, Winfield Chamber of Commerce, Winfield In Action, Winfield Public Library, Winfield School District 34, Relay for Life, People’s Resource Center, Winfield Criterium (kids bike parade), Winfield Prince and Princess Parade, College Scholarship to Winfield Area Student, and Central DuPage Hospital with a toy collection for its Pediatric Oncology/Hematology Department. Winfield residents have benefited from Snacks with Santa, Children’s Halloween Party/Scarecrow Fest, Winfield Road cleanup/Adopt-A-Highway, fundraisers, and the Club’s participation and contributor to the Winfield Good Old Days.
